With over three decades of executive leadership experience, Leandro has held senior roles across multiple industries, departments and geographies. These experiences have allowed him to develop an expertise at presenting and defending ideas and proposals with third parties, including the Brazilian Federal Government.<\/span><\/p>

Leandro most recently led Petrobras\u2019 government relations efforts . He took on the position during a critical moment of recovery for the Company, following the Operation Car Wash allegations against several of its former employees. In this role, he established strong working relationships with Brazil\u2019s oil and gas regulators, federal congressmen, and state and local elected officials, among others. He led the government relations activities from the company\u2019s office in Bras\u00edlia. <\/span><\/p>

Leandro was actively involved in several processes relevant to Petrobras, including regulations proposed by Brazil\u2019s president, such as Provisional Measure 735\/2016 (regarding preemptive rights in oil field auctions) and Provisional Measure 795\/2017 (regarding Repetro, a customs tax regime that suspended the collection of federal taxes on imported equipment for the oil and gas sector). He was also actively involved in discussions with Brazil\u2019s Federal Court of Accounts about a new system of divestments for the company.<\/p>

The relationship with Executive bodies was its continuous activity, with emphasis on the identification and adoption of the best alternatives for processes flow, negotiation and monitoring of topics related to the area oil and gas area, state control, environment and the Presidency of the Republic.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>

With the legislative branch, Leandro monitored the activities in committees that were relevant to Petrobras, and articulated with legislators in order to provide them with the technical clarifications on matters that were going to be proposed, discussed, or voted.<\/span><\/p>
